Cheese Statue of Mao not made exclusively with Wisconsin cheese, new report
admits

Cheesy as it sounds the big orange Mao outside of Racine
we’ve been thinking for years was made entirely out of local Bessie’s product
may not be as local as we had been told.
The Racine Butter Board along with the Chair of Elders from the Regional
Cream Council has jointly released a notice that the statue is made of nearly
an equal part Tillamook from Oregon.
“People forget that back in 1984 we thought them cheeses alike. They still do have the same color and texture.
It’s a monument anyway, not an opportunity for branding.” Pell Helfinshank,
former Council Elder, observed.
Complaints concerning the statue have been on the rise since
the park lost its “State Site” status.
In the last month, while on the council run guided tour, students became
ill from overconsumption.
Some neighbors do not
appreciate the extra traffic. “We’re busy people. I can’t have these roads all jammed up,” said
Chostan Wizleburg, 32, the statue’s
direct neighbor and professional Cheddaner
at Diary Biotechnical national’s headquarters in downtown Mt. Pleasant. “But
I do admit the thing does look nice when its sunset. All that orange has kind
of a pretty glow to it.”
“And, of course, we owe it to the Chinese.”
